Md Al Amin Sohan 
Located in the municipality of BuÃque, in the interior of Pernambuco, Casa Catimbau is situated within the Catimbau National Park, the second largest archaeological conservation unit in Brazil, and one of the most representative areas of the caatinga.
The project consists of the renovation and redesign of 77 Washington, a six-story, 38,000 square-foot, former masonry factory built in the 1920s, as well as a cluster of four other historic buildings adjacent to the property. Located on the corner of Washington Avenue and Park Avenue near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, this ambitious adaptive reuse project draws from the neighborhood’s rich history and design typologies abundant in early 20th-century New York warehouses.
An architectural design for a family that lives in the city. Located along the sea, the forest sways under the offshore wind. The beach is adjacent to the site, and becomes crowded on weekends with local people who enjoy marine activities and sunsets.
High grasses, two shrubs, and an oak. Somewhere in the 1970s, a row of dilapidated workers’ houses had to be demolished here. Nothing remained of it, and nothing was put in its place. The current green seems to have originated accidentally. An accidental green area due to the absence of buildings, not laid out, not functional. Recently, the city decided to divide the park into parts again, and to complete the building block again.
The 8th location of North of Brooklyn finds its home in Toronto’s Etobicoke neighborhood, occupying a two-story space that seamlessly marries vibrant takeout energy with a refined bar experience. The ground floor houses the North of Brooklyn kitchen and takeout counter, while the upper level transforms into the Low Rise bar and dining room.
The house manifests itself on the street as a long and austere brick façade, evoking the sensation of entering a courtyard. This architectural gesture creates the impression of being immersed in a larger space as if the house itself were contained within a more expansive courtyard—following a nested logic reminiscent of a matryoshka doll.
Suzhou, as a city, has distinctive regional architectural characteristics. We abstracted three key elements from traditional garden architecture—”pavilions,” “corridors,” and “views”—and sought to combine these elements with the inherent attributes of the original building. The lower floor of the original structure contained a row of hidden columned corridors, which were downplayed in the 2012 renovation, and the facades were enclosed with glass curtain walls, thereby clearly separating the interior and exterior spaces.
Located on a prominent corner lot along one of the busiest streets in Bà Rịa Ward, The 1999’s Coffee has emerged as a distinctive landmark within the rapidly developing urban district. More than a venue for tea and coffee, the project was envisioned as a bold architectural gesture—an inviting retreat that offers a moment of calm amid the relentless pace of the surrounding city.
Health has become a central concern in architecture, planning, and design, driven by a growing awareness of how the built environment influences physical, mental, social, and environmental well-being. In 2025, this awareness moved beyond specialized building types or performance metrics and became central to architectural decision-making, informing how spaces are conceived, built, and inhabited across diverse contexts. Architects are no longer treating health as an external requirement but as an integral condition of everyday life.
Atlantica is a fully customized tiny house, developed in close collaboration with its owner to reflect a sustainable lifestyle connected to nature. Completed in 2023, it is nestled in an idyllic setting next to a pine forest, providing a true refuge of tranquility.
