South House Tale is such a platform that came into existence from the dream of exploring and acknowledging global houses along with its architectural treatment culturally. A journey started as a curious exploration of the many styles and stories our homes carry. Every house, no matter how grand or humble, has a story to tell and embodies the history of our culture through an expression in architecture.
My Tale
My name is Md Al Amin Sohan, a licensed architect from Bangladesh and completed (B.Arch) from Leading University, Sylhet. Now a registered professional within local architectural practice and a freelancer with a skill set in architectural design, interior design, and UK residential building design. During my freelancing career, I got numerous opportunities to work with a variety of clients around the world, especially from the United Kingdom.
South House Tale is based on my love for research and learning since my undergraduate life, around houses across continents. I am mesmerized by the vast range of architectural designs and deep stories from house architecture. This sparked a passion that demanded to be shared with the world, which is where South House Tale was born.

I am committed to making you feel the soul of houses globally. My goal is to feature more than the structures of a home, but rather the social-cultural-historical-painterly-narrative that brings each house alive.
South House Tale is on a mission to do something both very simple and yet profound. To celebrate the rich community of houses out there in the world, by bringing everybody together under this universal concept we all call ‘home’. We feel that with a better understanding of the many ways people design and live in their homes, writers can help to develop an appreciation for human ingenuity. What we want to do is help you better appreciate the beauty and importance of living space, from a simple shack to a sprawling palace.
